We took the Denali National Park shuttle (school) bus 66 miles into the Park today. It was an 8 hour ride to the Eielson Visitor Center, and back. The bus left the Wilderness Access Center at 8:30 this morning, and re returned at 4”30 this afternoon.
Along the way, we saw wonderful views of Mt McKinley, and wildlife. First, here is the welcome sign for the Eielson visitor center.
Their we had our best views of Denali.
We did see wildlife. There were many Caribou, a Moose, a ground Squirrel, three Grizzly Bears, a Red Fox, and Dahl Sheep.
First we have the caribou.
Then comes a Moose.
Here comes a ground squirrel and three grizzly bears.
And finally Dahl Sheep high on a hillside and a Red Fox just lying next to the road..
Type at you later.
