Today was another moving day. We left Ninilchik, and drove to a city park on the Homer, AK Spit. Nice location, and four of us plant to go fishing for half a day tomorrow for halibut. Lunch was at Captain Patty’s. I had fried halibut, Marilyn had grilled halibut, Carol had a crab melt, and Dennis had fried Yellow Eye rock fish. Great lunches.
After lunch we walked around some of the gift shops, and walked in to the Salty Dog Saloon (the only building on the Spit to survive the the tsunami caused by the 1964 earthquake in Alaska).
Marilyn and I stopped at the Islands and Ocean Park to visit Sid and Sharon Genaux.
After another great social hour, we had a pot luck dinner. Don made fried rice, Marilyn and I grilled shrimp, Carol made a salad, Jim and Pat brought sweet and sour chicken, and Claudette brought delicious raisin cookies.
Type at you later.
