2013-03-02

For any of you who are curious, Marilyn pointed out that the blog from 2013-02-28 suggested that we drove for fifty mountains.  It should have been 50 miles.

Today, La Fiesta was in full swing.  To start off the festivities, we had a parade which of course began with the American Flag and a fire truck.  DSC02281DSC02282  I walked with the Veterans that followed.  DSC02283DSC02284DSC02285  The Line Dancers and the Red Hat Ladies were in the parade, along with old cars and other groups.DSC02286DSC02291DSC02292DSC02294DSC02295DSC02296  After the parade, several teams played bean bag baseball.  There were craft booths displaying their wares.  We had a delicious lunch of barbecued pork sandwiches, cole slaw  and a brownie.  For the evening, there was a bonfire for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. All and all, a good day.
