For any of you who are curious, Marilyn pointed out that the blog from 2013-02-28 suggested that we drove for fifty mountains. It should have been 50 miles.
Today, La Fiesta was in full swing. To start off the festivities, we had a parade which of course began with the American Flag and a fire truck. I walked with the Veterans that followed. The Line Dancers and the Red Hat Ladies were in the parade, along with old cars and other groups. After the parade, several teams played bean bag baseball. There were craft booths displaying their wares. We had a delicious lunch of barbecued pork sandwiches, cole slaw and a brownie. For the evening, there was a bonfire for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows.
All and all, a good day.
