2013-05-11

We left the Lake Point Flying J west of Salt Lake City this morning after a restful night, continuing our eastward drive on I-80.  We spent several miles in 3hrd gear at 35 mph climbing up out of Salt Lake city.  Marilyn tried to get some more pictures of the lake but they were blurry.  She did get these pictures of candy kisses on turrets.  DSC02596-001

As we continued, we passed and stopped at a pretty little lake for pictures.  DSC02597DSC02598

As we continued along, the rock formations became interesting until we got to the rolling hills of Wyoming.  DSC02599DSC02601

A couple of weeks or so ago, our friends Terri & Phil Tobin passed this way, and said we needed to take the scenic tour around Flaming Gorge.  As a result, we are stopping for two nights at the same Rock Springs KOA.  Yes, we know, but the pickings are slim.  Tomorrow, we will actually take the scenic drive around the Flaming Gorge with appropriate stops for Mother’s Day lunch and dinner.

Hugs, and Type at you later.
