2013-04-06

When we got up in the morning, we were not sure what we were going to do.  Marilyn and Terri wanted to go to WalMart to get haircuts and shop.  Phil wanted to go to WalMart or BestBuy to get a new computer.  His copy of windows became totally messed up on his old computer.  They will try to get it fixed when they go back East.  It is still under its extended warranty.  The ladies’ hair looks beautiful, but that is because they are beautiful to begin with. (I go for brownie points too).  Phil bought a new 15.6 Dell with Windows 8, which will probably drive them nuts.

After the shopping was completed, it was time for lunch.  The lady that cut their hair suggested we drive to a little town north of Napa called St. Helena.  She said it was a quaint little artsy town with nice restaurants.  So we headed north through the town of Napa to St. Helena where we spotted Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen.  IMG_20130406_143148_846IMG_20130406_143252_766  It turned out to be a wonderful choice.  They use table cloths, the service was great, and the waiter made the experience interesting.  Marilyn had a fish sandwich, Terri and I had hamburgers, and Phil had the calamari lunch.  Everything was delicious, and then we shared the pineapple upside down cake.  If we were in the area, it would definitely require a return trip.

On our way between Napa and St Helena, Phil had spotted the welcome sign to the Napa Valley.  So, on our way back, we stopped to take pictures. IMG_20130406_144936_418-001

That’s it.  We will see what tomorrow brings.
