No, actually we are in southern California.
March 29th,
Marilyn asked me to come outside and take a picture of the bees in the tree across the street from Denny & Susie’s home in North Ranch, , the Escapees RV Park near Congress, AZ (north of Phoenix).
That evening, we headed out into the desert by Razor for snacks and hotdogs because we and the Gunn’s were leaving North Ranch. .
On the 30th, Marilyn and left North Ranch. We drove to the Jojoba Hills Escapees Co-op RV Park in Aguanga (Southern California. Paula and Carlin Serra led us to and helped us park in site 115. Then on the 31st we drove in to Temecula for In-N-Out animal style burgers and shopping at Wal-Mart.
Today, April 1st, was our first day of sightseeing in the area. We drove the Jeep to San Diego and the Cabrillo National Monument. . We saw Navy ships being escorted into the harbor. . Then we stopped at the statue of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo (the first European to set foot in San Diego Harbor. . Of course, a major purpose in coming to Cabrillo National Monument was to see the two lighthouses. The first pictures are of the old Lighthouse at Point Loma. . Then we had to take pictures of the new lighthouse (1891 to present). . We went to lunch at Miguel’s in Old Town. I had the Fajita Combination of Brisket, Chicken and Shrimp, while Marilyn had the Fish Taco and Chile Relleno. We had stopped at a Trolley Stop for directions, and were given a ticket for an appetizer, and Marilyn says the Calimari was the best part of the meal.
Type at you later.
Glad to see that the drought of lighthouses is over and you are back on the 'move'....safe journeys...will miss you at the luncheon...
