2015-03-03

This morning, we woke up to clouds below the peaks in front of the house, so I went out o take a picture. IMG_5814.

After breakfast, we went to Subway for a foot long club sandwich to take for lunch. Then we drove to the Chiricahua National Monument. It is a beautiful 2000 ft climb to Masai Point at 6870 ft elevation. The many rock formations are very similar to the “Hoodoos” of Bryce Canyon National Park. IMG_5816IMG_5818IMG_5823. Each formation is more interesting than the last. IMG_5842.

The Organ Pipe formation was quite interesting. IMG_5844IMG_5845IMG_5846IMG_5847. One little tree without leaves in the last 3 pictures shows the panorama of the formations.

This last picture looks sort of like a mushroom. IMG_5851.

Tomorrow starts Escapade for us.

Type at you later.
