We have been continuing West since my last blog of 2/25/2015, where we had left Pete & Jo Peters, and moved to Ft. Stockton, TX. We left Ft Stockton on the 26th, and drove to Dream Catcher RV Park in Deming, NM. After a goof 4PM social hour (where we saw Phil & Cindy Devonshire and Dave Long), we went to dinner with Don and Sharon Del Rosario to the Adobe Deli for great food.
On the 27th, Don drove us to Columbus, NM where we crossed the border to shop, buy liquor, and enjoy lunch at the Pink Store. . While shopping, a young lady walked around giving out free margaritas, so Marilyn and I shared one. We all enjoyed our lunches. We also bought some wine from the St. Clair Winery. At happy hour, new narrivals included Doug & Anna Craw along with Rich and Mary Coppens.
Don and Sharon left on the 28th, but all was not lost because we shopped at WalMart.
We left Deming on 3/1, and drove to the Ft. Willcox RV Park in Willcox, AZ. Along the way, we stopped at the Flying J in Lordsburg for fuel and propane. We tried to go to the Welcome center, but it was closed. We did stop at Safeway for a few items. We did not buy anything at Apple Pie Anne’s.
This morning, we wet to the Rex Allen (one of the singing cowboys) Museum, and were glad we did not wait because it closes at 1PM on Mondays. It is a nice little museum. Here is a picture of the stature of Rex Allen, and one of the museum. . This is a nice mural near the museum..
Type at you later.
You SHARED a margarita!
