We had an extremely wonderful afternoon yesterday visiting our friends, and neighbors from Sumter Oaks FL, Phil & Terri Tobin. They live in Westtown, NY, so we just drove up from Hemlock Campground & Cottages. Today we drove to Susquehanna Trail Campground in Oneonta, NY. It is cold - left the south too soon.

Last week, we stopped at the Cheesecake shop just south of Mt Pocono with our friends Lynn & Bill, and bought a quarter of a just plain cheesecake covered with a chocolate gnash.  It was so good, that I suggested that we get another quarter for Mother’s Day.  Marilyn did not even try to discourage me.  So, this morning, we picked up another quarter as well as stopping for some groceries at Shop Right.

About 11:30, we were under way, and drove to the NYS welcome center just across the border from PA for lunch.  After picking up some Oneonta area brochures, we drove up I-88 to Susquehanna Trail Campground.  We have a 30 amp site that will run one or maybe two appliances at the same time.  Of course, this is better than the last 3 days at Hemlock Campground and Cottages where the surge protector kept turning off the electric because the voltage was too low.

  1. That can be aggravating. But isn't it great the surge protectors do such a good job?
