We left for the Escapees Florida Sun Gators Chapter 57 Rally on Wednesday the 8th. The only activity for the early birds was a wonderful dinner at Plaza Mexico Restaurant in Port Charlotte.
On Thursday, the 9th, after registration, we gathered in the activity center to Meet and Greet, and eat hot dogs. Some did the preparation work. 
. Others stood around to cook. 
. There were many discussions during the Greet part. 
. Then there was the eating part. 
.
On Friday, the 10th, we began the day with muffins provided by SkyMed followed by their seminar. 
. Then I noticed Sue in deep concentration trying to make her new camera do what she wanted it to. 
. We had our business meeting. 
. Chick Thompson gave us a VCR (Volunteer Club (Escapees) Representative) report. 
. We had adoptions of those attending their first Florida rally. These adoptive parents and children make for great friendships. 
. In the afternoon, our friends Gary & Mary Olson joined us for our happy hour and potluck dinner. They are from Lost Wages as he describes Las Vegas. They are one of the couples we toured alaska with in 2011.

On November 11th, at the 11th Hour of the 11th Day of the 11th Month, we celebrated Veteran’s Day with a very nice ceremony at the Harbor Lakes RV Park activity center. We joined with the Park’s US and Canadian residents. Two of the Canadians attended the ceremony in their Dress Military Uniforms. 
. Several of us went to Sharky’s in Venice, FL for lunch. We walked the pier enjoying the sites and each others company. 
. My lunch was shrimp and scallops, etc. served over pasta. 
. I downloaded Don Chandler’s Facebook picture of our table because it was better than mine of Sue, Frank & Maureen, and Marilyn and I.

Saturday, the 12th, we started the morning with breakfast in a bag. An omelet is created by breaking eggs, meat and veggies into a freezer bag that is boiled in large pots. Guys have to sit around to watch the pots boil. 
. Everyone prepares their own breakfast, drops it in the pot, and times it to come out in about 13 minutes. 
. Sunshine Susie is going to travel this year with Shrek. 
I made one other improvement to our house in early November. I installed a new kitchen faucet to replace the one that could not be tightened. We like it much better than the original.
