On Saturday, the 16th, we drove out to Flanders, Long Island to see the Big Duck. 2014-08-16 DSC08094  Marilyn’s grandparents lived in Hampton Bays, on Long Island. When she, her brother and parents went to visit, Marilyn and her brother had a contest to see who spied the big duck first.

Later, we stopped at a couple of wineries, and also saw the Horton Point Light before getting on the ferry to return to Connecticut. 2014-08-16 DSC08117

Today, the 19th of August, Marilyn and I celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary. We spent the day at the Mystic Seaport, a much better day than the last time we were at the Mystic Seaport – September 11, 2001. We ended our anniversary day with Champaign, lobsters and clams from Grossman’s again, only this time, I cooked the lobsters. They were good even if i do say so. IMG_20140819_183027_022 IMG_20140819_184208_849 IMG_20140819_185223_237
