Larry Forbes Yesterday morning we left So Palms in Eustis for points north. We spent the night in SC at St George RV Park and Motel. This morning we moved to Virginia on I-77 stopping at Lake Ridge RV Park in Hillsville.

Marilyn & I met with the Dr today. He liked the improvement in M's bp, but added a water pill which may bring it down to where it should be. We leave for Oswego tomorrow.

We arrived at Southern Palms RV Resort in Eustis, FL about 3:00. Then dropped cards off at the post office, stopped at Publix, and arrived back at the motorhome about 2 minutes before it started to rain.

I know it has been a long time since I wrote, but we have been busy at Doug's, Bev's, and doing a lot of driving. We arrived at Doug's on Wednesday, the 18th where we stayed again at Lake Pines RV Park, in Columbus, GA. Thursday, Marilyn and I went to FedEx to pick up a package for Doug, which he gave to Marilyn that evening - a new Dell Mini netbook. She loves it. We spent Thursday and Friday installing 2 new televisions in the motorhome. On Friday, Doug took us to a Japanese restaurant for our anniversary. Marilyn and Doug had sushi. On Saturday, we left for Bev's in Edwardsville, IL with an overnight stop in southern TN on I65. We delivered all of the stuff that Bev had stored in our storage unit in Eustis - I can move the seat back far enough to drive again. Monday, we took Bev and her roommate, Alicia, to Sams and lunch - hamburgers for dinner at the MH. Marilyn's headache's won't go away, and her blood pressure has not been going down like we had hoped, so Tuesday we started back to FL and our Dr. We spent the night in Jaspar, TN.

Today was get out of Florida time. Met with a tax client about 9, Marilyn went for a haircut at 11, and we were on the road about Noon. We took cr 452 to cr 42 to Ocala, where we picked up US 27 to get to I-75, to I-10, to US 19 to Thomasville, GA. Still hot.

Finished packing Bev's stuff in the jeep and motorhome. Tomorrow we leave FL and head to Doug's in Columbus, ga.

Another nice day here at Grande Florida Motor Coach Resort in Webster. We walked the park before breakfast - 3 miles. After breakfast we drove to Center Hill, FL using Co Rte 478 - shorter distance than 471 and 48. When we got back to the house, we pulled boxes that we think we can live without for a couple of months, so that we can load more of Beverly's stuff into the MH as well as the Jeep - more than just in the Jeep. After lunch we drove to Lutz to visit with Nancy and Charles Elkins - friends from our days in Snellville, GA that we had sort of lost touch with. Charles cooked steak and veggies - great dinner. They have been dieting and have lost a lot of weight. They looked great.

Last Dr visit. We are now both on high blood pressure medicine. But, we can leave FL sometime on Tuesday.

Trying to catch up, visiting doctors, working on computer seminar for VCR workshop. Today was a great lunch at Oakwood BBQ because of the company of Maureen & Frank Halliday. They are doing well.

Short driving day. We are now in Southern Palms RV Park in Eustis, FL. After lunch, we went to Albertsons to get shrimp to cook tomorrow on the grill. Then we went to Lowes to look at saws, wood and hardware to make a cabinet door for our new TV. Our 2006 rv has old tvs that are not digital ready

Today was another driving day. We are spending the night at Lees Country Campground in White Springs, FL. Just south of Atlanta, we saw a sign that said there was a major accident just north of Forwyth, GA. The truckers said the southbound lanes were closed, 2 fatalities, so we got off and moved west to US 41 and south to Perry, GA. Of course on US 41 we were slowed by painters (20 minutes). The Flying J took our real value card, but the sequence was different - credit card first, and then real value card.

Walked for an hour this morning, and, after breakfast, we went to the Kennesaw National Battlefield Park - nice museum, movie about the battle and campaign for Atlanta, then Publix on the way back to the MH.

Yesterday, we found out that Flying J in Resaca, GA no longer accepts the RV Real Value Card. No more one penny per gallon discount, although they still honored the cash price.

Today, we moved to the McKinney COE Park on Lake Altoona. Then, after setting up, we made a trip to Publix.

This morning we left Athens, TN about 10:00 and headed north for a drive on the Cherohola byway trail. After a few miles of twists and turns, we saw, and took pictures of Bald River Falls.

After visiting a trout hatchery, and having a picnic lunch, we headed back to tour the Lost Sea. It is a cave, with an underground lake. Not the most exciting, but not too expensive.

This evening, I am planning to pay bills.

Drove the MH from Raccoon Valley to Athens, TN - 60 miles - long day. Then we took the Mayfield factory tour where we saw milk and ice cream being packaged. Of course we had to taste some.

Today was a quiet day at Raccoon Valley. Marilyn did wash, I sent out my monthly email, and I put titles on pictures on my computer. Cliff & Marie Clingon are coming over for a glass of wine tonitght.
